How to read a comparison page

WayPAY is one of the options on these pages, so read them with that in mind. What they try to do is set out the differences that actually change your month — pricing model, what the checkout supports in your market, what happens to a no-show, how much manual work is left after setup — rather than produce a feature grid where everything has a tick.

Feature grids are close to useless in this category, because almost every platform has a calendar, reminders and some form of online payment. The differences that decide whether a system fits are structural: whether you are billed per seat or per transaction, whether the wallet your customers use is available at checkout, and whether the parts you need are included or sold as add-ons.

The three questions worth answering first

What is the real monthly cost at your volume? A per-seat subscription and a percentage of transactions behave very differently as you grow. A small team taking few payments is usually better off with a percentage; a large team taking many small payments often is not. Model both against last month's numbers before you decide.

What can your customers actually pay with? In the Nordics this is the question people skip and then regret. MobilePay, Vipps and Swish each dominate a single market and are absent from the other two, so a platform that covers your market matters more than one that covers the most methods overall.

Are you booking time or renting stock? They look alike and are not the same problem. Booking allocates hours in a calendar; rental allocates units over a period and has to know when each one comes back. Buying the wrong one is the most expensive mistake on this list, which is why it has a page of its own.
